And ah yea speaking of Jay Sean, he’s in Miami this week, recording the American version of his latest album.

Will he be successful there what do  you think? I certainly hope so…but the dude needs to chill down with all the tight shirts and make up on his face, what happened to real men these days..give me some real beard and a real accent?? keep it down and humble no matter where you are!!

This is Sean, behind-the-scenes at the Miami Hit Factory, filming a yet-to-be-aired NBC television feature.

And What is up? with the Humor?

The Mozart from Madras a city in India created history on February 23, 2009 in Los Angeles and sent entire India into a euphoric frenzy. A special mention here for the hugely talented Resul Pookutty as well, who brought home the third Oscar for Sound Mixing.

The reverberations of Rahman’s two Oscar wins will be felt for a long time and also celebrated by brands that the music maestro endorses. Rahman’s association with these brands has been long and epoch making. He has given them a lot of credibility, respect, immense value addition in terms of brand positioning and a lot of social causes that the brands got associated with through him.

It was a remarkable journey from Chennai to Hollywood for music maestro Allah Rakha Rahman who made a billion Indians proud, adding another feather in his cap by bagging two Oscars for his score in “Slumdog Millionaire”.

It was a ‘Jai ho’ for the soft-spoken Rahman, hailed by Time Magazine as the ‘Mozart of Madras’, when he walked to receive the award for Best Original Score and Best Song for ‘Jai Ho’. The ‘Mozart of Madras’, who redefined contemporary Indian music and has been a role model for millions of Indians, has already won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for his music in Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire”

slumdog Millionaire wins 8 Oscars out of the 10 categories it was nominated in. Congratulations to everyone who made the movie and appreciated it, and of course, the great city of Mumbai. Bole to jhakkas.

Just when I thought that creativity in India had become so stereotypical, that it drips of triteness from all its sides; just when I thought that Indian cinema had become a euphemism for putting and choreographing  some back in the days over and out  old men who bombard us with platitudes to the point that the very creative perceptions of the masses have been shattered beyond repair; and that public knowledge had become a commodity rarer than the elixir of life; along came Anurag Kashyap to shatter my bubble of misery, and desperation.

Respect to the man for having the guts to fight the conformist inclinations of our society and for carving out a masterful pastiche that captures the Gen Y zeitgeist with surgical precision.

Realistic casting, flawless cadence of the story, tremendous acting, impeccable music & background score, hilariously pertinent lyrics, and amazing art direction and production design all blend perfectly to form an eclectic amalgam. Also worthy of mention is the attention to the minutest of details, such as the puns intended through neon signs in the backdrop, or the theatrical touch given by the three mime artists. Sinbad  one of them is agood friend to my dear Tina.

The trio from UK who consist of Sinbad, Ammo, and Jimi perform in their own formidable style with a heavy dose of showmanship to a hip soundtrack of Latin, Jazz, Indian and Electro Funk. They've been making huge waves on the Burlesque scene introducing a new form of dance known as 'Open Hand'. Having worked on an international spectrum with everyone from Kylie, Talvin Singh to Madonna, the guys have now spread their vibe in Dev D.

With their unique look inspired by everything from classic Havana of the 50's, Hollywood glitz of the 60's, right through to the American Funk movement of the 70's, the boys are appearing in various song sequences in Dev D as themselves. Their style is so organic and fluid that they can never do the same take twice - they are constantly improvising take to take and their movements cannot be pinned down to any rules.

we actually met them the night we went to watch Dev D at the cinema they were telling us they had been watching the movie 4 entire times that week..

Mm guess someone is a fan..

Indian cinema's best is Bandit Queen, Black and Dev D. i hvnt seen this sort of raw, realistic, artistic cinema ever in Hollywood. I

ts truely push indian cinema 1 step forward.. so i guess if u r in love with shahrukh khan, shavva shavva(typical punjabi song u see in evry karan johar movie), a girl of dreams n a guy of dreams ..then its waste of money.. but if u really wanna watch a master piece of cinema..go n watch.. u will be amazed with the direction, cinematography and treatment of this movie. I was immediately reminded of one of my favorite Woody Allen creations.

Hats off to anurag(director of the movie yaar) and so abhay..the main actor who is now settled in New York, and yess he is also a dear friend to our Tina.I guess it is all about New York Now, the city to be in..

Go run and Watch this movie..it is an order!!

Its so funny how everything in life changes, I mean change is inevitable. However, some people just stay the same as they add a year to their existence. Insecurities could get the best of you...i just dont understand why would you want to ruin a relationship of lovely friendship. I mean we all get insecure at times...me you and yes You, however when it comes down to white lies and putting people out there....that isssh aint cool. Destruction! I mean if you say something be a G and stand up to what you say. Truth always comes out...wither you like it or not! People talk and come together!

As for people and their perception and judging, why do we judge other people when we have never interacted with them before. We all do it! I mean just because your from Barcelona doesn't mean your on drugs, or easy to bed. Or if your from London you all are players and stuck up little bitche*, or if your from New York and living your dream, your suddenly not living reality. Why don't we just start living for ourselves and accept that we all our different kinds of people. Some good, some bad and some who have just not grown up. Don't you get it that the more negative you preach the more it effects you and not anyone else. That person just keeps elevating and smiling as well attaining the unattainable.

GET A F*&CKIN CLUE

Miss D and Miss Tea

On a lighter note, this song has been blasted over and over. As its our favorite song from The Dream " Rocking that thang". What it do! haaaahaaaaaa

For your Shiny Eyes!

Were Back Junglees!

We were gone for a minute but back again. Our sincere apologies....in case your wondering were we have been. Well Miss D and I have caught up in the slummdogs of Mumbai...since our last venture and capturing every thing possible to add to our memories. Love, drama, attention spans, rickshaws, elephants, private jets, sand, wedding vows not to be broken, illusions, love that doesn't exsist anymore, new found love, chicken tikka, late nights, late mornings, WANNABEEE CELEBRITIES...you get the point by now. Crazy fun that anyone and there girlfriends would be hatin'.

Yes, were living the good life like Kanye spoke....were doing it up, however Miss D thinks im so heartless a girl from a movie scene but heck yeah im a drama queen...i think she is a little paranoia...cause she is so Amazing. We on firee! LOL (can't get enough of Mr. West).

India is such a magical country when you find the right inspiration and right people to hang out with and dont get caught up with the Bollywood hype. We have come across people that have inspired us with their 15 Minutes of Fame, as well as the people who "think" they even come close to a minute of fame. However, they don't come close ...you either have it or you don't. But who are we to judge....its just our little silly opinions. Were just Divas! Recognize

Soon we will be featuring some of the people, places and things of our India adventure who we think are simply the hottest of that moment. However, we need to get a tan first so we can relax and write with ease.

Our thoughts and memories of Princess Sahari will never be forgotten as she is with us enjoying every moment with us! She's watching from above and laughing at the ridiculousness of the Divaness. SSSSSSSHHHHHH!

Stay tuned its about to get HOTTER then the sun! ;-)

Runaway Famous!

It's an open secret in the fashion industry that designers pay "wranglers" to round up and place celebrities in their front rows.

"The front row of a fashion show is the red carpet to the world.

“Twice a year, the entire world watches a designer showcase their clothes. And given that the front row is what everyone sees, you are going to want celebrities there representing your brand, wearing your clothes and getting their picture taken. You can imagine how important it is." For a designer. So important that designers routinely hire different celebrities and other wranglers to ensure that A-listers are seated in the front row or, better yet, are strutting the designer's stuff down the runway.

I once Remembered reading in  Vogue: "The contract to get Ricky Martin to sit in the front row at the Armani show 4 years ago was 23 pages long. And notice that George Clooney comes to shows in Milan every year. It's not because he likes clothes so much."

Like really Ricky Martin I have no comments, then just pointing  that once you get your 15minutes of fame everything and anything is possible.

I remember in 2007 London Fashion week and was surprised to see Jill my friend who used to work for Vogue walking out of the fashion show. When she was looking for her seat I told her it was behind mine. Before you could blink an eye she stormed out.

If she had just taken a moment to communicate that she was upset about sitting in the second row, I would have told her to exchange seats with me. It is always more prestigious to sit in the front row of a fashion show, but it is not that important to me.

Then later that day at  the Baby Phat show, I went up to a woman in the front row who I really thought was Mary J. Blige. And despite my better judgment, I asked her if she minded if I took her picture.

 “No.”

No, what? No, you don’t mind? Or no, please don’t, get away from me you Fashion Week stalker?

Quite dumbfounded yet again, I snapped the picture.

Here it is. You tell me. Is it her?

Oh Lawd

But i cant even hate, it is the Good Life!
